Diet is important, and all clients  receive practical advice about exercise and diet as all these components are essential for health.   When working with sick animals, diet recommendations address their ailment and specific to their needs. But there is a general recommendation that I can offer that is helpful for all of you and your animal companions.

It is best to eat foods at room temperature.Foods stored in the freezer or refrigerator should be warmed with a little water in a pan on the stove or boil water in a teapot to pour over the food. This will take the chill out.Cold foods are not ideal for bodies, especially if one is sick or has digestive issues. With temperatures getting colder, most of us appreciate a warm meal and so will your animal companion.

Be well, Bonnie
